Why we're here and what we believe in

Our MIssion

Lost Ballard Records aspires to produce  Acoustic Albums by Ballard artists and performers -- as well as any other organically-made music projects those artists might work on -- for fans and listeners who enjoy exploring artists’ whole musical journeys.

We want to get to the heart of an artist’s take on music and tell the story of their musical vision and journey. We start with their own songs or instrumental performances on an acoustic instrument with their voice. That simple approach can lead us backward and forward to every other musical project they have worked on and will work on after, and every other musician they worked with.

Sometimes that means we release or even re-release  old recordings they made with other bands they played music with in totally different genres.

Sometimes it means we take on more elaborate ideas they are working on for their next project.

Sometimes it means we are pointing fans to releases these artists have on other labels or that were self-released which Lost Ballard Records has no financial stake in. We want to help music fans find all of it, and see the connections that different artists and musicians have to one another.

If an artist is playing acoustic country folk now, but once played bass in a metal band and aspires to turn their simple folk act into a full band experience next, or move on to more traditional folk, or get back to rock & roll -- we want to celebrate that whole evolution.

Upcoming REleases

We are just ramping things up right now with a lot of the less glamorous backend legal, branding, and distribution and marketing deals we need to promote all this music. That said we are in negotiation with a few artists now, and you can expect to see those announcements here in September 2025 along wth a schedule for album and single releases. We're hoping to get two or three albums out before the end of 2025 to launch us, and then a bunch more with more artists to feature in 2026.
