From the recording It USed to Rain
Ocean of Love was originally written for a pop rock band Brian was in called The Donahues. After the Donahues stopped playing music this song became a live staple of sets played by Brian's garage/surf band Waves of Rust, and the sound of the song changed to fit the new band. Despite the song's history, It does not appear on any prior recording releases (though older recordings of it with these bands may appear in the future -- who knows). This acoustic version is a totally different sound for Ocean of Love and maybe a more fitting sound for a song about unconditional love than the original loud electric Pete Townsend inspired electric versions.
Lyrics
Ocean of Love
Anything that you want
Anything that you need
Anything that I have
You can get it from me
I got an ocean of love and you're the moon
When the tide comes in it's all for you
If your car breaks down
At the side of the road
I'll be driving around
Just to give you a tow
I got an Ocean of love and you're the moon
When the tide comes in it's all for you
I can feel the tug every time that you're blue
I got an ocean of love and you're the moon
Anything that you want
Anything that you need
Anything that I have
You can get it from me
If your car breaks down
At the side of the road
I'll be driving around
Just to give you a tow
If you're feeling down
If you're feeling blue
Anything that you need
I'll go and get it for you
I got an Ocean of love and you're the moon
When the tide comes in it's all for you
I can feel the tug every time that you're blue
I got an ocean of love and you're the moon
